Parent’s Domain is dedicated and passionate about supporting neurodiverse children.
Parent’s Domain helps to foster the development of:
Social and Communication Skills
Friendship Skills

Parent’s Domain draws on a range of key therapeutic elements of Autplay Therapy (certified provider), Play Therapy, Learn to Play Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Mindfullness techniques which are implemented in a naturalistic and neuro-affirming approach.
Parent’s Domain values neurodiversity affirming practices and aligns therapy to reflect Autplay Therapy key constructs:
Strength based approach - see the child, identifying what works for a child, therapy is individualized to align with the child’s strengths
Value the relationship as a core change agent - empathy, unconditional positive regard and acceptance
Value and allow for multiple ways of communication - children communicate in many ways that are not verbal and these ways are respected an valued.
Value and provide space for the child’s voice - neurodivergent children are the most marginalised group of people, often having to conform to a neurotypical world. Therapy aims to strive to provide space and opportunity for the neurodivergent child’s voice to be heard.
Partnership with parents/caregiver - families play a vital role in therapy and therapy is not only child centered but family inclusive.
Advocate for inclusion - Working collaborative and holistically with educators and key stakeholders to support the inclusion of children and any necessary accommodations.
Therapy sessions at Parent’s Domain are based on:
Your child’s skills and area of focus
Treatment planning to set goals with regular reviews
Incorporating kindergarten and school supports
Parent’s Domain also provides resources to families and educational settings to help promote the generalization of skills.
Hence there are regular sessions with parents/care givers to work collaboratively to achieve a holistic approach.
